Rivyve Behavioral Health opens second location in Mohave County

Facility Expansion Announcement

KINGMAN – Rivyve Behavioral Health, a behavioral health residential facility servicing those with drug and alcohol addiction and co-occurring disorders, opened their second location in Mohave County at 3131 Western Avenue Ste. A in Kingman.

Background and History

Rivyve Behavioral Health was the first organization in Mohave County to provide behavioral health residential services to Mohave County and has now been providing those services to Mohave County for four years with their original location at 2150 Silver Creek Road in Bullhead City.

Licensing and Capacity Details

“We are thrilled to open our second location and be able to provide additional behavioral health residential beds in Mohave County – With this second location we are able to now make each of our locations gender specific with our Bullhead City location servicing males and our Kingman location servicing females.” said Rivyve’s Chief Executive Officer, Kristen Ott. “Our Bullhead location is licensed for 90 beds and our Kingman location is licensed for 46 beds.” Ott said.

Location and Building Information

The new Rivyve Behavioral Health facility, still believed to be the only mental health healing center of its kind in Northwest Arizona, is located just off I-40 exit 51 in a shared building with The Gardens Rehab & Care Center on Western Avenue.

Program Success and Community Impact

“We have been operating in Mohave County for four years and have been excited to see the positive outcomes from our drug and alcohol rehabilitation services provided in Bullhead City. Initially, there were some concerns in the community about perceptions they had regarding the services we were going to provide in the facility. However, in the four years of providing these much needed residential services for those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, we have had over 1,500 complete and transition from our residential program and have over 500 in our alumni. Seeing these residents transition and get their lives back on track is a very rewarding experience for everyone. We are also seeing these residents transition from our facility and many successfully re-enter the workforce assisting in filling open positions with employers who have struggled with workface shortage gaps,” she said.

Environment and Program Structure

“We have worked hard to provide a quality structured program along with a comfortable, calm, homelike environment during the resident’s stay. We want our residents to feel comfortable while staying with us in order to help remain focused on their recovery. Both of our locations allow for a lot of natural light and beautifully landscaped outdoors spaces to enjoy group and yoga sessions on beautiful days”, Ott said.

Community Support and Recognition

“As we have become more established, we have been pleased to see the growing support for the services we are providing to the community. We had great attendance at our open house event in Kingman and we were thrilled to receive a letter of appreciation from Congressman Paul Gosar’s office for the health services Rivyve Behavioral Health has provided to the Mohave County communities”, Ott said.

Local Emergency Services and Census

“Our setting provides a very structured program and controlled environment. Due to the lack of calls to the police and fire department, I have been told by local emergency services that there were assumptions that our facility census was low. However, the local emergency services were surprised to hear our higher average census due to the lack of calls they have received over the past four years.” she explained.

Partnerships and Future Outlook

“We are grateful for our partnerships we have so we can better serve those in need in the community. We are contracted with New Mexico Medicaid, Utah Medicaid, Arizona Healthcare Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and fully contracted with AZ Complete Health and Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Choice.
“We are really excited about 2025 as Rivyve Behavioral Health wants to continue to make a larger impact on the health and wellness of Mohave County residents struggling with addiction,” said Chief Operating Officer, Christopher Luciano.

Mission Statement and Professional Commitment

“Our mission is to create an environment of healing that ensures safety, support, stabilization, and the use of evidence-based treatment by compassionate and caring professionals whose goals are to integrate the mind, body and spirit in a trauma informed and sensitive manner as outlined by the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP), the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA),” Luciano said.

The professional mental health specialists at Rivyve are highly experienced, knowledgeable, focused and dedicated to assist those in need of recovery throughout the community.
