Laughlin brings concerts, rodeo action, and entertainment highlights in April

LAUGHLIN — Laughlin’s vibrant entertainment scene comes alive this April, featuring major concerts, professional rodeo excitement, and diverse entertainment experiences that promise something enjoyable for everyone visiting the city along the Colorado River.
Classic rock legends Grand Funk Railroad kick off April’s entertainment lineup, performing live at The Edge Pavilion (Edgewater Casino) on April 5 at 7 p.m. Famous for hits like “We’re an American Band,” Grand Funk Railroad will deliver a high-energy show, treating fans to beloved songs from their celebrated career. Tickets are available online or at the Edgewater Casino box office, making this concert a memorable start to the month.
Excitement intensifies as Laughlin hosts the prestigious CINCH World’s Toughest Rodeo at the Laughlin Event Center on April 12 and 13. The professional rodeo features thrilling events, including bull riding, bronc riding, and specialty acts, showcasing some of the best rodeo talent nationwide. Saturday’s performance begins at 5 p.m., while Sunday’s matinee starts at 10 a.m. Tickets start at $25, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early for family-friendly pre-show activities such as pony rides, cowboy meet-and-greets, and interactive western-themed fun. Saturday night’s ticket also includes access to a free post-rodeo concert featuring country duo Big & Rich, turning the evening into a full celebration of rodeo and music.
Following the rodeo, Laughlin casinos and venues will offer special after-party events and entertainment. Harrah’s Laughlin, for instance, will feature a Miranda Lambert tribute band playing in its lounge area on April 12, while several restaurants offer special ”Cowboy Brunch” menus on Sunday. Aquarius Casino’s Losers’ Lounge plans country line-dancing and mechanical bull riding on the Riverwalk during rodeo weekend, extending festivities beyond the arena and inviting guests to enjoy a complete weekend of western-themed entertainment.
Disco-era icons Village People take the stage at The Edge Pavilion on April 19 at 7 p.m., bringing their lively and theatrical show to Laughlin audiences. Known globally for hits like “Y.M.C.A.” and “Macho Man,” the Village People offer an engaging performance filled with nostalgic costumes, dance routines, and classic disco favorites. Attendees are welcome to wear their best disco outfits, dance along, and relive the excitement of the 1970s. Tickets are on sale through Edgewater Casino, and the concert promises a lively night of musical nostalgia.
Country music fans will have another major event to look forward to when award-winning artist Scotty McCreery performs at the Laughlin Event Center on April 26 at 7 p.m. An American Idol winner with numerous chart-topping hits such as “Five More Minutes” and “Damn Strait,” McCreery is known for delivering heartfelt performances. This outdoor concert venue provides an ideal setting for fans to enjoy an intimate yet dynamic concert experience. Tickets start at $69.50, available through official event outlets.
In addition to these headline events, Laughlin continues to host its ongoing entertainment programs. Comedy magician Jamie Portillo performs his popular residency at Tropicana’s Pavilion Theater with nightly shows (excluding Mondays), providing family-friendly laughs and astounding illusions.
Film enthusiasts will enjoy the Laughlin International Film Festival’s special screening event at Laughlin Stadium 9 Cinema on April 18. This one-night-only showcase highlights short films created by regional filmmakers, offering viewers unique perspectives and stories from across the Southwest. Details on ticket availability and featured films will be announced by festival organizers closer to the date.
Families in Laughlin can participate in the community-organized Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt at Mountain View Park on April 20. This annual, free event features over 3,000 candy-filled eggs hidden throughout the park, inviting children and families to join in an enjoyable, outdoor springtime activity.
On April 17, the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce hosts a Business After Hours Mixer at the Riverside Resort, giving local entrepreneurs, business owners, and community leaders the opportunity to network in a relaxed social setting.
For those seeking outdoor recreation and exercise, the Tri-State Alumni 5K Fun Run takes place on April 27, beginning on the Laughlin side of the Colorado River and finishing across the bridge in Bullhead City. This annual community run encourages participation from alumni, residents, and visitors alike, fostering community connections and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
With an exciting roster of concerts, professional rodeo action, family-friendly activities, and community engagement events, Laughlin’s April calendar is packed with opportunities for entertainment, recreation, and cultural enrichment.
